Tania Higdon LMSW

Tania Higdon LMSW BIO:

I understand how difficult it can be to decide to seek help for mental health. We live in a society where discussing mental health comes with a stigma and I am here to make the transition into therapy as smooth as possible. Working in this field, I aim to provide all clients with an environment in which they feel they can be honest, vulnerable, and free to be themselves without judgment. My office is a space for clients to just be human, whether that be discussing the hard times of the day or the traumas that have occurred overtime. I work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, boundary development, self-esteem, family and relationship issues, communication skills, life transitions and trauma. I use modalities like CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, interpersonal resolutions, and CPT (specifically for clients with PTSD) to help clients get through their difficult times. My approach is to first understand your explanation of what you have been going through and begin discussing what you are comfortable exploring first as you are the only person who can tell your story. I look forward to helping you along your mental health journey.
