Dr. Patricia DeJesus DSW, LCSW-R BIO:

Patricia DeJesus is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She obtained her Doctorate Degree in Social Work from Capella University and obtained her master's degree in social work from Fordham University and her Bachelor's of Social Work from Wichita State University. Patricia has over twenty years of clinical experience. She has worked for Office for Children & Family Services, various Child Welfare Agencies, Behavioral Health, and Voluntary agencies. She provided direct oversight of the clinical department at each job. Patricia is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She has received Play Therapy training, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing training. Patricia is a member of the National Association of Social Work, Council of Social Work Education, and Association of Social Work Boards. Patricia is a Chaplin in the Orange County area serving in the capacity of a clinician. She is a member of the Hope Not Handcuffs program that provides volunteer clinical services to substance abuse patients with dual diagnoses. Patricia is also certified/trained in completing:

 

 

Dr. DeJesus has an enthusiasm for clinical work and views herself as a change agent. She is interested in working with patients on a macro, micro, mezzo, and meta-level. She is experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, and the developmentally disabled. Her passion is to reach, reconcile, and restore those who are seeking help. As a licensed clinician with over 21 years of experience, she has worked with individuals from all walks of life.  Dr. DeJesus treatment is based on a mutual understanding, respect and trust. She is committed in providing a warm approach in a confidential and compassionate setting.

Dr. DeJesus background is unique to say the least; she is a woman who have been called to speak healing to the nation. Her background also caters to the faith-based community. Within the faith-based community she holds the title of Apostle.  Dr. DeJesus knows she has been called for a time such as this. She has the ability to meet the needs of the people from all walks of life. She believes relationships can be healed, trauma and loss can be transformed and what is confusing can be understood.
