Dr. Shaniqua Schloss, LMSW
Seeking therapy is a big step on your road to change, empowerment, healing, happiness, and everything your heart desires. I believe a successful therapeutic relationship between therapist and client is built upon empathy, trust, compassion, and honesty. As a therapist, I am active and engaged in your growth, development, healing, and change. Life comes with its challenges, and you do not have to face them alone. Whether you need a listening ear or support in decision-making, problem-solving, processing, or healing, I look forward to being a part of your support system and assisting in change.
In addition to a warm, welcoming environment and a strong therapeutic relationship, I incorporate cognitive behavior therapy techniques, dialectical behavior therapy techniques, solution-focused strategies, and a strength-based approach.
Deciding to begin therapy is a big step, and I congratulate you. Together, we will identify and address concerns, develop skills and strategies, achieve goals, and improve your overall mental health and well-being. I look forward to taking this journey with you at your pace and in a style that best fits your needs.
